Huntington Harbour Boat Parade Photo of Boat with Dolphins & Reindeer

Huntington Beach decorated boat in the picture above is strewn with illuminated lights and includes artificial lighted dolphins that frolic next to the boat. This lighting and the Boat Parade that occurs two nights are the precursors to the  Light Cruise.

We've discussed the merits and difficulties of attending the Huntington Beach Christmas boat parade. But let's assume you find parking and can walk. No doubt you will enjoy this event.  But vantage points come easiest for Huntington Harbour homeowners, and even some of the channels with townhomes offer challenges for those wishing to see the parade.

The photo above shows a Huntington Harbor boat neatly decorated with playful nautical themes of dolphins frolicking. On this vessel you can also see a white Christmas tree, plus an artificial reindeer at the bow. Locals call the home next to this craft the Pirate Home.  Each year the owners of the boat and house decorated their dock with a life-size mannequin of a pirate, plus other life-like, human-looking characters. As you cruise by in the boat parade, it looks like people are sitting on the dock watching.

But for the seasoned captains of the harbor, they know better and aren't quickly fooled by this house and its illusions. Part of the fun of the boat parade is the joking around that goes on, and the homeowners of the house shown in the picture clearly have a sense of humor.

Other events in HB include Huntington Beach Christmas Parade and Santa's Arrival, all part of the incredible thousands of special California Christmas Events.
