Craig MacDonald, Huntington Beach and Coastal California

Craig MacDonald is focused on the gold. The California native has not only created award-winning press and public relations campaigns recognized for major events such as the Summer Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, he also has written many books about California's rich past and the lure of gold.

The writer began his career while studying history and journalism at San Jose State University. Freelancing for major publications, he landed his first permanent writing job in San Diego at the San Diego Union Tribune.  Craig proudly states that he was nominated for a Pulitzer for a series of articles he wrote for that newspaper.

Craig left the newspaper and began working for Pacific Telephone. Winning numerous writing, public relations and marketing awards, MacDonald saw the company change to Pacific Bell, then Pacific Telesis, SBC and finally AT&T. Among his credits are creation of a marketing newsletter that received accolades from clients and sales marketing associates, creation of broadcasts, special events, teleconferences, videos, and even a record featuring a song about Los Angeles used during the Olympic Games.

MacDonald's smooth radio voice and his many years as a reporter lend to the video interviews shown on our web site, BeachCalifornia.com.
