--Carlsbad State Beach is south of Carlsbad City Beach. There's a
parking lot at Tamarack that drops down from street level, and lands you next to the beach for easy access. The beach
stretches approx. five miles and provides ideal sunbathing, surfing,
body boarding, skim boarding, people watching and so much more.
Also known as Tamarack Beach, get ready for fun...swimming, surfing, scuba diving, fishing and beachcombing
are but a few activities and things to do that attract tourists away
from the theme parks such as Legoland California in Carlsbad and over to
the beach. Parking is available in a public parking lot at Carlsbad
Blvd. & Tamarack, Carlsbad, CA. This is a four mile stretch of smooth
sand and some rocks.
