California Coast
Photo Vacation Guide: Picture Gallery Images
The photo above was taken
along the California Coast with the faint outlines of downtown Long Beach in
the distance. Altering the color of the sky and ocean from orange to pink
softened the image and offered additional highlight and contrast on the
subjects in the water. This picture from the gallery is another example of
how you can take travel photos and turn them into wall art by making some
modifications and adjustments.
We have separated out
these images because we do not wish to deceive travelers about the reality
of the California beach.
When visiting, you will
indeed see some stunning sunsets that require nothing more than a quality
print or download on computer to enjoy. Likewise, when you see photos that
let the imagination run, you may gain additional pleasure into manipulation
the colors and graphic filters for entertainment purposes.
Above, a seagull swoop by
the camera as we stand on hill of sand looking down the sloped beach to the
water below--and the people having one last frolic as the sun starts to
drop.
Where will you find
this view: It's available at nearly a thousand miles of beaches, though
this one particularly was taken in Sunset Beach.
Where can you stay
when visiting? Right next door to the view is the Ramada Limited Ocean
View Hotel. Across the street is a nice
Best Western Harbour Inn.
Where to eat? Jack
in the Box is right there, but for quality faire, we always dig Captain
Jack's. There's a Brix wine bar, SuperMex affordable cafe, J King Neptune's
and dozens of restaurants along Coast Highway nearby.
What else?
Sunset Beach has nightlife. From King Neptune's to Blue Cafe, Irish Mist,
Turcs and Mother, to a string of bar/restaurants, you'll find lots of live
music, especially on weekends, and mostly at night.
