Berkeley, CA -- The Chocolate & Chalk Art Festival along the sidewalks along
North Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley (the target of artists young and old,
professional and greenhorn) combines the passion of the finer things in life,
art and chocolate. Taking it to the streets in a unique combination event,
visitors can share in the passion by watching artists decorate the sidewalks of
Berkeley, and munch on chocolates and brownies while gazing in amazement.
The annual Chocolate & Chalk Art Festival
charges no artists fees for registrations, though chalk is sold for a fee
(subject to change annually by event planners). Artist participants create chalk
drawings surrounding the theme of chocolate. If you fancy yourself an artist,
you can participate. Or if you like to eat chocolate, perhaps you should attend
and watch as you eat your favorite comfort food.
Chocolate sampling starts with tickets. When
you purchase these tickets at an affordable price, you can use them to buy
unique concoctions such as espresso brownies, chocolate pizza (yum!), chocolate
fried wontons, chocolate sushi, chocolate covered bugs and spicy chocolate mole
burritos. Who could imagine chocolate offers so many variations in great tasting
recipes?
The contest, itself, awards a prize for the top art and registrations is
possible by contacting the event organizer, or showing up on the day of the
event.
Vendors with chocolate-related items will sell their foods and products such as
soaps and skin products at a Farmer's Market area. Entertainment will include
live music, a clown, and additional surprises. Sponsored by the North
Shattuck Association northshattuck.org, and produced by Another Bullwinkel Show,
call: (510) 548-5335 for additional information and vendor opportunities and
sponsorships.
