Photos: Toddler in Sand says Walk a Mile in My Shoes
Photo of toddler at beach

If you've heard the
saying, "Walk a mile in my shoes," then you might want
to consider the challenges of just getting up off the
ground when you're learning how to get around as a
youngster.
If you think about
the challenges a little kid faces as he barely can walk,
then must figure out how to get up and start moving,
it's no wonder that toddlers spend so much time in the
sand touching and feeling it. One of the top family
vacations involves sand and beaches. Next to theme parks
in which
four out of ten theme park vacations include families,
it is tops for enjoyment and recreation.
Nevertheless, from
the adult perspective the child seems so cute and
adorable, looking at the beach through new eyes of
delight every time. We once felt that way
ourselves. But the beauty of the beach for some who
aren't too jaded can bring delight each time
you visit. Can you ever get tired of the waves,
the seashells that wash up in the sand, the birds that
swoop, then dive, and the people who visit the beach to
de-stress.
As we watch the
little tots with their seemingly over-sized feet, hands
and heads, it makes us humble to the time that we were
once like that, and felt everything was to be learned
and explored.
Hopefully when you go
to the beach, you can grab onto that philosophy and see
the world through the eyes of a child. Taking a camera
with you can certainly help that process along as you
look through the lens and capture the magic moments.
