Beach Photos in the late
afternoon haze of an orange sunset with its filtered
rays show people hand-in-hand, and a parent holding
their child with his little head and huge ball cap.
As you take the late
afternoon beach photos of fading suns, and people
walking hand in hand, you may start to imagine dialogues
based on the people in the pictures. Faceless shadows in
silhouette and motion show people walking, talking and
playing in the water together.
It's corny, but takes
on an air of romanticism, or melancholy for the magic
moments life holds. Sunsets at the beach can amplify the
emotions and memories by stripping away the overwhelming
information of a thousand people moving every direction
in the daylight sun. Reduced to shadows, several
colors, and outlines of people, your mind is freed from
the "noise". As we watched the parent/child
relationship, couple in hand with a purse or camera bag
clutched between them, and two people bobbing offshore
in the ocean together, it reminded us of this song by
Barbra Streisand...
People,
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet letting our grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers
Are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person,
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.
The beach is a
special place to share. And in the late afternoon,
you'll see people dropping by after work, alone, soaking
up a sense of normalcy outdoors. You'll also see couples
and families enjoying, playing, sharing. The sunset
creates a blanket of light that disguises the
imperfections the bright mid-day sun so clearly shine
upon. The sunset is one of those experiences that
is wonderful to have vision to perceive. But beyond the
vision, there's also a feeling...sort of a calm at the
beach as the winds die down, or so it seems.
