I remember when - Nouha Hreish
(left) and June Dugmore wore similar outfits for their awards
luncheon ceremony at the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce
Luncheon.
If you're a woman and find
that wearing the same outfit as another person in the room isn't so
great, remember the episode of "I Love Lucy" where Lucy and Ethel
did son, and began tearing off each other's costume dresses at their
stage performance about friendship.
Well the photo above taken at
the
Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort shows one such moment when the
two ladies receiving the Chamber of Commerce's most prestigious
award for women, the Athena Award, looked like they planned the
match for their honored event.
Yet in grace and style of a
professional jeweler who has all the diamonds a woman could desire,
and a beauty pageant director who takes young, budding women under
her wings and leads them into competition, both of these women with
their white jackets and black trim could not have been more gracious
or fun.
The event was combined with an
appearance by Dan Quayle's wife, Marilyn. Remember when Quayle put
his hat in the ring to run for president? Marilyn Quayle came to
Huntington Beach for a fund-raising event around the time of this
Athena Awards luncheon, so she dined at the event with other guests.
