Glory to the Newborn King... He came from above, a gift of God's Love. The
photo of the decorated home for the holidays includes religious themes, angels,
and received the "Most Religious" award.
Christmas is the season for a reason.
The Huntington Harbor lighted home boat tour called "Cruise of Lights" has tried
to maintain musical themes to reflect its goal, to earn money for kids in
schools so they can sing.
The photo above show a
beautifully-decorated house with water views in Huntington Harbour, Huntington
Beach, Calif.
When visiting you may want to tour the
harbor in a gondola, kayak or Duffy boat rental. And during two very special
weeks per year, you can buy a ticket to ride on a yacht to see the decorated
homes and harbor mansions.
The event is held around the 2nd week in
December and has been in existence for over 40 years.
Photo tip: Though lovely to watch, taking
photos from a boat is incredibly challenging. The photographer managed to pull
it off in one recent annual Cruise of Lights event, but it was definitely a
challenge. She confessed that she'd been better off by standing on shore or dock
and using a tripod.
Forget the pretty photos. Just go for the
ride so you can help all these kids have music. The school systems apparently
de-funded music and arts programs. That is truly a crime. So take the boat ride
in Huntington Beach and the proceeds will bring music back in the lives of kids
who have missed the classics no, not rock & roll!
