Red Chair Lounge at the Hyatt Regency Resort in Huntington Beach is upscale casual adult entertainment for those special visits from your folks.   Red Chair Lounge at the Hyatt Huntington Beach -- My parents were visiting and as much as I'd love to put them up at my house, the older they get, the more I want to treat them nice. So I booked them a hotel suite at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach California.  They loved their room and were just so happy to be visiting their former home town. They wandered the grounds of the hotel, ordering coffee, looking at art work at the Huntington Beach Surf City Gallery, and we arranged to meet for an evening cocktail and light dinner.   I'd visited and written about the Red Chair Lounge at the  Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa many times, but never actually sat down for a cocktail and discussion with friends.  My parents and I order cocktail (mom had a signature martini, dad had a beer, and I ordered a boutique wine the hotel prides itself in collecting from various wineries.)  We enjoyed the piano music playing and the sounds echoing form the man lobby entry into this comfortable living space that easily could pass for somebody's home.   We caught up on life on the Central Coast where they live, enjoyed the cocktails and really relaxed and shared good times.  We were there somewhat early but a small band did show up and play some very cool jazz tunes.  The music wasn't too loud to override our conversation, but we did retire so my folks could relax in their room overlooking the ocean.    If you wonder how much it will cost to book a room for your folks,  one of the luxury hotel rooms will set you back a few hundred bucks.  But you can just show up for the live jazz and have yourself a merry time minus the overnight stay.  While the drinks are on the high end, you can sip your cocktail and nurse it along just long enough to satisfy your conversation with some ambience and live music.
