Beach Sunbathing - It's standing
room only amongst the beach bathing bodies at California beaches when pro surfers
compete for prizes in the world championship
surfing contests held in
California. Warm, sunny weather and lots of
"heats" (competition rounds of surfing) make the
summer a season not to be missed if you're a
tanned-skin fan. During the premier surf
contests, droves of beautiful girls and ladies
flock to the beach to watch (and some compete).
Out on the sand the shuffle of
feet is a feat you must learn. With each step
you take
you must pick up the foot carefully as you
navigate the freeway of legs, arms, bottoms,
backs, heads and toes. If you shuffle too
hard, some unhappy bather will give you a dirty
look for getting sand on them. Unlike the
hilarious sea lions that constantly cover
themselves with sand as they shed their skin
during the summer months on the beaches north of
Hearst Castle in Simeon (Cowabunga
Dude story), humans tend to prefer sand-free
sun-soaked body relaxation.
