The city is home to Anderson River Park, situated on the Sacramento River,
but is best known for the Shasta District Fair. Throughout the year the
Shasta District Fairgrounds host hundreds of events that include a favorite,
the annual Shasta District Fair. Held annually the third week in June, the
fair includes livestock exhibits, arts & crafts, a carnival, live
entertainment, games, booths and delicious vendor foods. Over 100,000 people

In addition to this special event,
Shasta District Fairgrounds, situated on 65 acres in a park like setting, is
a focal point of the community. Hundreds of special events throughout the
year include Crab Feeds, Car Shows, Demos, Bottle Collector Conventions,
Home and Garden Shows, Sporting Shows and Conventions and more.
Shasta District Satellite Wagering Facility is also located on the
fairgrounds. Satellite Horse Racing is featured year round in a climate

The Shasta District Fair owns and operates the Shasta Raceway Park featuring
