Video Shipley Nature Center Cool Summer Nights Presentations

 

Shipley Nature Center volunteer and former president of Friends of Shipley Nature Center welcomes guests and discusses the summer programs offered at the Central Park Huntington Beach location.

 

Did you know that there are several thousand coyotes that live in and surround Huntington Beach, California? On cool summer nights in Huntington Beach's premier Central Park, you can learn about the local birds, bugs and animals that are part of the city's natural landscape.

 

Docent Steve Engel discusses in the video the Shipley Nature Center summer evening program held on Thursday nights. It features special presentations by guests knowledgeable in a variety of topics such as a presentation titled, “Lizards and Snakes and Bugs - Oh My!” Other topics include Solar Power, Urban Wildlife, The Raptors of Shipley and HB, California Friendly Plants, Ride Your Bike to Shipley Night, Urban Wildlife and Where’s the Pond?
 

Speakers include Juana Mueller, two time past president and current Habitat Manager, Julie Morrison and Timo Waterman.  Delightful, entertaining and educating, this event is offers four star power to a starry Huntington Beach summer night.
