| Vacaville, California
will take to the streets to celebrate the region's cultural and
agricultural assets. Art, wine, brew and live music combine to
bring this city located near the state capitol of Sacramento an
event that's memorable. Historic Downtown Vacaville comes
alive from Tuesday September 30 through Sunday October 5th, for
the 6th the annual “Art, Wine & Brew Festival”. It’s a six
day event covering all sorts of musical entertainment, local
artists, a wine stroll, beer tastings and more. As always, this
is a FREE event to the public and there’s something for
everyone.
Beginning on Tuesday, September 30 the Downtown merchants will be kicking things off
with a BBQ and entertainment by DJ Stefan Barboza from 5 pm to 7
pm.
On
Wednesday, October 1 the band “4 Piece” will be featured in Town
Square along with “Tony Bataska” from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Thursday, October 2 evening brings two exciting musical
performances to Downtown with “Walking Spanish” and an acoustic
set by “Malcontent” also happening 5 pm to 9 pm.
And then it’s
Friday, October 3 evening with a great rock and roll band, the
“Delta Rockets” who will be playing a lot of CCR and other
oldies. They are followed by the band “Evolution, A Tribute To
Journey”. If you haven’t heard these musicians play in the Bay
Area you definitely don’t want to miss this show! Friday
evening’s performances happen between 5 pm and 9 pm.
Saturday, October 4 really rocks as it is an all day event. There
will be music from 10 am all the way through to 10 pm. Things
kick off with the “RB&C Band” at 10 am followed by “Tamra Engle”
at 12 pm, “Throwing Roses” at 1:30 pm, “The Clarences” at 4 pm,
“Heather Combs” at 6 pm and the big finish with the “Skynnyrd
Lynnyrd” band at 7:30 pm. The Skynnyn Lynnyrd band is a local
group of musicians from Vacaville and Solano County . They are
hitting the big time and playing all over the country and we are
lucky to have them once again in our Historic Downtown. Their
show is another performance you don’t want to miss! Also
happening on Saturday there will be numerous artists from the
community and the Vacaville Art Gallery around Downtown
painting, sculpting and just enjoying an artistic day for your
viewing pleasure (or feel free to purchase something you like).
There will also be our annual “Wine Stroll” in the afternoon and
“Beer Tasting” too. And it’s not over yet!
On
Sunday, October 5 from 11 am to 4 pm, it’s “Brunch, Brews and
Bluegrass” with several of our Downtown restaurants providing a
delectable Sunday brunch while you listen to good ‘ole time
Bluegrass music played by Steve & Denny at 11 am, Tamara Little
at 12:30 pm and closing out the day and the festival it’s the
“Rita Hoskings Band” at 2 pm. This is a great event for our
