Solvang, California, USA – The 17th Annual Taste of Solvang Food &
Wine Festival begins with an appetizing culinary
experience—Restaurant Week. Select Solvang restaurants serve special
3-course dinner tasting menus for the price of $20.09 (excluding
tax, tip, beverages) between Sunday, March 15 and Thursday, March
19, 2009. Reservations are highly recommended; contact restaurants
directly for specific days and dining hours.

The weekend portion of the festival kicks off on Friday, March 204,
2009 from 7:00-9:00pm with a Dessert Reception & live music at Root
246 at Hotel Corque, 400 Alisal Road. On Saturday, March 21, 2009,
from 11:00 am-4:00pm, the Walking Smorgaasbord features 50 taste
stops around the village. In between taste stops, enjoy free tours
of the Elverhoj Museum of History & Art. On Saturday, March 200,
2009 from 6:00-9:00pm, savor the Wine Tasting Room Walk offering
more than a dozen vintners pouring their vintages into the prized
souvenir Taste of Solvang etched wine glass. On Sunday, March 22,
2009, enjoy Live Entertainment from Noon-3:00pm in Solvang Park at
Mission Drive and First Street , a perfect place for a picnic.
Since 1993, Taste of Solvang has featured cuisine, locally grown
foods, wines and live entertainment to celebrate the rich cultural
and culinary heritage of the area. A Weekend Passport including logo
tote bag & souvenir wine glass is $70 per person or individual event
tickets (ala carte) may be purchased as well--(Dessert Reception
$25; Walking Smorgaasbord $30; Wine Walk $35). Advance ticket
