San Diego
There are small
Oktoberfests in California and large
Oktoberfest celebrations. The largest three
day Oktoberfest West of the Mississippi
attracts close to 200,000 people to La Mesa
Village in San Diego for sunshine, fun and a
huge celebration. The event, which includes
a carnival, games and bands over a larger
area comprised of six city blocks, has
been a presence in the city since 1973.
