This is the 210
Freeway near Santa Anita Racetrack and the
Arboretum in Arcadia. Other nearby cities
include Monrovia and Pasadena. The hills are
especially pretty in the spring after a rain.
Otherwise, the color turns to brown. An
especially interesting museum accessible to the
south from this freeway is the Huntington
Library and Gardens. Open to the public, it
includes acres filled with three gardens, an
historic house with original art, an art museum
and library collections of authentic, rare
manuscripts. There's a restaurant on site,
Japanese gardens, and a book store.
